The UltraSPARC is a 64-bit superscalar processor series which can issue up to four instructions at once (but not out of order) to any of nine units: two integer units, two of the five floating point/graphics units, the branch and two load/store units.
The UltraSPARC I/II were architecturally the same. The UltraSPARC III concentrated on improved data and instruction bandwidth.
The UltraSparc IIi is for embedded systems. It contains an integrated DRAM controller, PCI 2.1 interface, L2 cache controller and other features
UltraSparcs are made for Sun by Texas Instruments.
